A very special weekend with Arthur and Matilda from New Zealand's first ever 'The Bachelor'. Giving them a very warm welcome back with lots of hugs was fabulous, especially for Freddie (our gorgeous shih zhu) who just adores them!
So wonderful to see how happy Arthur and Matilda are after the show! Relaxing and enjoying the ambience of the house and property they strolled around the farm feeding the chickens and horses. What a memorable night sharing a delicious dinner and unwinding by the fire with a glass of port!
The French Country House was happy to host the show filmed here in February 2015.
Both Art and the Bachelor host Mike Peru enjoyed luxury accommodation for two weeks while filming the Cocktail Parties and Rose Ceremonies. They arrived home each day with awesome stories of sky diving, fishing, picnics and an amazing flight out to White Island. So much to see and do here in the sunny Bay of Plenty!
The team were very professional with a crew of up to 34 including some of New Zealand's best producers, directors and photographers. The French Country House is very proud of their expertise while filming on the property and also showcasing Tauranga as a stunning location for international guests to visit while on holiday in New Zealand.
What a privilege it has been to share this amazing experience with Arthur and Matilda. We are so looking forward to seeing them again when they visit Tauranga next. Freddie is waiting patiently for that day!
