Beautiful new colours for The French Country House this season

Peiorus and kashmir blue... bright and cheerful colours for the patio seating with luxurious cushions and throws to relax and enjoy your favourite book.

Our guests love to have a cup of coffee made from freshly ground beans with delicious homemade baking.

Perfect location for a glass of NZ wine with canapes and enjoy the sweeping views over the countryside to Mount Maunganui and the sea.

Lavender and fresh herbs are grown on the patio and included in your morning breakfast.

A stunning outside log fire is a star on the patio of The French Country House. Cosy, warm and ever so inviting - you will love it!

Along with books of New Zealand you can enjoy stories written about The French Country House in a new book called 'Antiques in the Antipodes' by Yvonne Sanders, the NZ Home and Garden Magazine and the spring edition of the NZ Wedding Magazine.

Springtime at The French Country House

Sunday, August 30, 2015

The daffodils bloom, you can see lambs, and the temperature is just perfect for taking a farmyard stroll.

While Tauranga fills up in Summer, it's not the only time to enjoy our wonderful climate. Spring brings its own treats as well.

The farms around The French Country House fill with up with the braying of lambs and the cock-a-doo-doodle-doing of roosters. The horses frolic and graze and our very own donkey, "Donkey" will be forever grateful if you bring him a carrot. Feed the chickens and collect eggs straight from our hen house for your next breakfast.
